# オープンバッジの規格と1EdTechの認定プロダクト

本ページではオープンバッジを発行する前提の知識として，オープンバッジの概要や仕組みについて，1EdTechで公開されている情報をもとにまとめています．

1EdTechではオープンバッジは以下のように説明されています．

なお現在，オープンバッジの最新バージョンはver3.0であり，Ver2.0と並行での運用がされています．本ポータルではver2.0を前提として説明しますが，オープンバッジを発行・管理するプロダクトのver3.0への適応も始まっています．ver2.0とver3.0の違いとして，ver3.0はデータモデルがJSON-LDからVerifiable Credential（VC）という形式へ変更された点です．VCを利用することで，バッジの改ざんがより困難になり，多様なプラットフォームが利用できるようになりました．ver2.0およびver3.0の詳細については，以下を参照してください．

2024年11月の時点では，1EdTechに認定されたオープンバッジと関連するプロダクトは27個ほど存在し，1EdTechとCredential Engineの調査によると，これまでに約7500万個以上のオープンバッジが発行されています．オープンバッジのプロダクトは，以下の1EdTechがオープンバッジのエコシステムとして説明している図のように，オープンバッジの作成と発行，ホストと表示，検証する機能のすべて，もしくは一部を有しています．

なお，バッジの中身は，バッジクラス，アサーション，プロファイルを含んでいます．バッジクラスには，バッジの概要や取得基準が説明されています．一方，アサーションはバッジの授与情報を表現するJSONオブジェクトで，受賞者やバッジ，証拠などのプロパティを含みます．プロファイルは，オープンバッジを発行する組織や団体の情報を含み，発行者や受賞者の詳細を管理します．オープンバッジの内部構造については，以下の文献でも説明されていますので，ご参照ください．
